If you are interested in putting in a bid to host a
Canadian Championship in Ontario, please follow the steps below:
- The Canadian Championship Bid Package can be found on Softball
Canada’s website at www.softball.ca . Click on Canadian Championships, and then ‘Apply to
Host’. You may download the bid package by clicking on ‘Application’.
- Once the bid has been completed, please send one hard copy
(signed) of the bid, along with one (1) certified cheque (bid deposit) for
$500.00, made payable to Softball Canada.....and one (1) certified cheque (bond)
for $500.00, made payable to Softball Ontario. Please note: These funds will
be reimbursed once your obligations to Softball Canada have been fulfilled.
The signed copy of the bid plus the two certified cheques are to be sent to
the secretary of the P.W.S.A. Please send to the following:

An electronic copy of the bid is also required. Please email this copy
to
mallen@mergetel.com
- The P.W.S.A. Bid Committee will review the application and once approved by the
committee, the secretary will then forward to the PWSA Board of Directors for
their endorsement. Once endorsement has been received from the Board, the
signed copy plus the electronic copy of the Complete Hosting Application, along
with the cheques, will be forwarded to Softball Ontario, who in turn, will be
asked for their endorsement. If in agreement, Softball Ontario will write a
Letter of Endorsement which will be sent with the signed application and
cheques, along with the electronic copy, to Softball Canada.
- Softball Canada will review each bid and award hosting rights to a
host committee. If your bid is selected, you will receive a formal letter
acknowledging the bid approval along with three (3) copies of the agreement. A
letter will also be sent to any unsuccessful applicant.
